Telstra have advised that they will be increasing their postpaid mobile, mobile data and NBN internet prices from July 2025 which is the third price increase in less than 12 months.
It was only back in October they increased prepaid mobile by $4 and after a previous increase in August 2024.
They stated that the change would improve the performance and user experience of its mobile network, in addition to increasing the reliability and security of its services but I image this is going to leave customers unhappy with the additional price increase for another service.
Unfortunately, Optus are also jumping on the band wagon with price increases and have announced an increase of $2 to $6 for monthly mobile plans from 4th June 2025.
New Telstra Prices
Postpaid Mobile
- Mobile Bundle 25GB – Increase from $52 to $57
- Basic Plan 50GB – Increase from $65 to $70
- Essential Plan 180GB – Increase from $75 to $80
Mobile Data
- Data Bundle 10GB – Increase from $10 to $15
- Small Plan 30GB – Increase from $25 to $30
- Medium Plan 100GB – Increase from $58 to $65 (Data increase from 75GB)
Home Internet
- Basic Plan 25 – Increase from $89 to $93
Essential Plan 50 – Increase from $105 to $109
- Premium Plan 100 – Increase from $110 to $113
Telstra Prices Not Increasing
The entry-level mobile plans, basic NBN internet services, and high-end mobile offerings will not be altered.
Additionally, the company’s prepaid mobile plans, home phone services, satellite options, and 5G home internet plans will also stay the same.
What Can You Do About the Telstra Price Increase?
If you are a Telstra or Optus customer, either mobile or internet, there are so many other providers now reselling mobile or internet at discounted prices.
For example, Telstra’s sister company Boost Mobile have mobile plans starting from $39 for 65GB (monthly) which include data rollover.
Then for NBN Internet, Aussie Broadband offer a Fast 100/20mpbs plan for $95 which is $18 cheaper and includes excellent support.
