If you have a Microsoft Office 365 account, which most of us do now, be on the lookout for an email claiming your incoming email messages can’t be delivered.
It will contain your email address, the message ‘A high-extremity alert has surfaced’ and that ‘an error has occurred when delivery was attempted’.
Below is an example of what it looks like:
If you click on the link, then you will be redirected to a fake Microsoft Office 365 branded login page with a CAPTCHA like this one below:
Then you will be prompted to enter your password at a very legit looking Microsoft Enter password screen where the first time you type your password, it is rejected with a “wrong password” message, but the second time your password is accepted and you get an “Account Verified” message.
It is advised that should you receive this Phishing email, delete it immediately without clicking any links.
If you have been caught out by this scam email, contact your Office 365 Administrator or reseller to change your password as soon as possible!
